The Greater Nevada Hindu Temple (GNHT) was established in 2019 by a group of devoted community members who recognized the need for a sacred space to worship and practice Sanātana Dharma in Northern Nevada.

Since its founding, GNHT has grown into a spiritual and cultural center dedicated to preserving and promoting Hinduism and the timeless values of Sanātana Dharma for current and future generations.

The Temple serves as a vibrant hub for Indian and Hindu religious, cultural, artistic, educational, and charitable activities across the Greater Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and surrounding regions.

The Greater Nevada Hindu Temple is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, exempt from federal income tax under the Internal Revenue Code.

Our current temple, located at 888 Zolezzi Lane, Reno, Nevada, was purchased for $395,424.29, with the transaction completed on April 5, 2019. Since acquiring the property, several enhancements have been made to both the interior and exterior, including landscaping, expanded parking, the installation of a concrete walkway around the temple, the addition of a storage unit, and other site improvements to better serve our devotees and community.

Several new projects are currently underway, including the extension of the concrete slab, installation of a metal storage unit, and the addition of metal fencing and security gates, with expected completion in 2026.

GNHT welcomes donations to help support these initiatives and future improvement projects aimed at enhancing the temple experience for all.
